In Montelibretti (RM), the Army's Multifunctional Experimentation Center (CEPOLISPE) today represents a pillar of research and innovation for the armed force. The recent visit of General of the Army Corps Paratrooper Carmine Masiello, Chief of Staff of the Army, highlighted the crucial importance of this entity in the national defense landscape.

The meeting focused on the presentation of the most advanced projects and frontier technologies used for military experimentation, with the aim of reaffirming and consolidating the role of CEPOLISPE as a center of technical-engineering excellence. Colonel Pierpaolo Dotoli, Director of the Center, guided the Commander of the Italian Army through a detailed journey into the activities and future development plans, highlighting how innovation and advanced training are the levers to maintain and enhance the Army's driving force in the sector.

Gen. C.A. Masiello had the opportunity to attend a simulation and modeling demonstration at the ITB (Integrated Test Bed) site, a tangible example of the move towards virtual testing. The visit continued with an exploration in the field of electromagnetism, at a semi-anechoic chamber, where cutting-edge experiments were showcased.

Concluding the visit, the Chief of Staff met with the Center's personnel, along with the engineer Lieutenants of the 200th course “Dovere”, highlighting the strategic value of CEPOLISPE not only as a center of technical excellence but also as a fundamental resource for national and international security. In this context, the focus on research and development, in collaboration with universities and industry, emerges as a distinctive element for the continuous updating and qualification of skills, strengthening the link between the military and civilian worlds.

CEPOLISPE, an entity under the Army Logistics Command, is an advanced military experimentation center, whose core business is represented by technical and experimental tests aimed at the homologation of vehicles, materials, weapon systems, components, and equipment of interest to Defense. It is thus confirmed as a laboratory where the future of defense is shaped through experimentation and innovation, emphasizing the essential role these activities play in the operational effectiveness and reliability of Italy's defensive capabilities in an era of complex and evolving challenges.
