The Naples Section of ANPd'I participated today in the celebration of the National Unity and Armed Forces Day hosted by the Allied Joint Force Command Naples (JFC Naples), at the Lago Patria headquarters. For the first time, the event was organized within the NATO headquarters, with a protocol tailored to the international context.
According to the ANPDI Nazionale website, the delegation of the Section was led by Gen. Giuseppe Lenzi (Honorary President) and Vincenzo Palumbo (Section President), with the Gold Medal for Military Valor of the Carabinieri Loreto Di Loreto, and members Guglielmo Carleo, Vincenzo Amoroso, Vincenzo Nascente, Crescenzo Mormile, Antonio Auricchio, Ciro Bifaro, and Ciro Imperato.
During the ceremony, dedicated to the memory of the fallen and the role of the Armed Forces in national and international security, Gen. di C.A. Par. Rodolfo Sganga, Chief of Staff of JFC Naples, formerly Aquila 1 Commander of the Folgore and a prominent figure in Defense, spoke.
The General highlighted the institutional significance of November 4th and, as an example of military virtues, pointed to the figure of M.O.V.M. Carabiniere Paracadutista Loreto Di Loreto.
Sganga is well-known in the paratrooper community for his extensive experience in the Paratrooper Brigade “Folgore”, where he commanded all units before his General Staff assignments.
For the Naples ANPd'I, participation in JFC Naples is part of activities to oversee the territory and connect with military institutions, with the aim of maintaining a stable channel between the paratrooper association world and the operational reality of the Armed Forces.
