In the heart of the spectacular rock formations of Jordan, north of Amman, special forces and police units from around the world are preparing for one of the most prestigious competitions in the field of special operations. The KASOTC (King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center) hosts the 14th Annual Warrior Competition, an event that will take place from June 22 to 26, 2025, with the full support of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF). This annual event is one of the most important moments for the international special forces community, offering all participating units a unique challenge and an opportunity to enhance their skills.

An Advanced Center for Special Forces Training
KASOTC is one of the most advanced facilities in the world for special forces training. With an area of 25 square kilometers and a value of 200 million dollars, the center is an example of high technology and innovation. KASOTC's facilities are designed to simulate real war conditions, allowing trainers to train special forces with irregular warfare techniques, counter-terrorism, and special operations. Advanced technologies, such as the fiber optic network system, are used to coordinate hundreds of cameras and war simulations, offering a realistic training experience.
The center was created with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who personally worked on the curriculum planning and facility design, recognizing the importance of adequate preparation against modern challenges of terrorism and asymmetric warfare. KASOTC is not just a school for Jordanian special forces, but a facility serving international allies and partners, capable of adapting to the needs of each "client," meaning the defense forces that require specific training.

The Annual Competition: A Test of Endurance and Skill
The annual competition is considered one of the most significant internationally, testing the individual skills of team members, as well as their ability to work together to plan and execute extremely difficult tasks. Each team, composed of 8 members (5 competitors, 2 reserves, and 1 team leader), is called upon to overcome a series of realistic scenarios that simulate the most challenging battle conditions.
Teams must bring their own weapons, equipment, and gear, while KASOTC will provide ammunition and free accommodation for all participants. Food and beverages are available on-site but will be at the expense of the individual teams. During the competition, teams face urban warfare scenarios, building raids, and training in difficult terrains, such as swamps and mountains, similar to those they might encounter during field operations. Additionally, KASOTC has a range of facilities, including a replica Afghan village and a house for simulating close-quarters combat.

This competition offers participants a unique opportunity to test their skills in a highly realistic environment, where every mistake could have devastating consequences. However, the value of this experience lies in improving their skills and preparing to face any real combat situation.
An Unmissable Event for Global Armed Forces
The 14th Annual Warrior Competition promises to be one of the most exciting and challenging events of the year, a competition that aims to strengthen the bonds between special forces worldwide and improve their ability to tackle global threats. KASOTC officially invites all armed forces to participate, recognizing the importance of this competition in enhancing operational capabilities and strengthening international cooperation.
Participating in this competition is not just about winning, but about learning, improving, and sharing experiences with the world's best special forces. Every movement during training is filmed and analyzed in detail, allowing participants to refine their techniques in a high-quality educational environment. According to Colonel Ibrahim Alharahsheh, Deputy Director of KASOTC, "Every operation is reviewed with trainers and industry experts to discuss what went well and what can be improved."
The competition is not just a test of skills, but also an opportunity to strengthen ties between different nations and improve collective defense capabilities. KASOTC has already demonstrated how its training approach can be of great value even for countries with limited resources, as in the case of recent training with Palestinian special forces, who showed significant progress in a short time.
The 14th Annual Warrior Competition represents a unique opportunity for armed forces worldwide to test their capabilities in realistic and challenging scenarios. With the support of King Abdullah II and the Jordanian Armed Forces, this competition is not just a sporting event, but an opportunity to improve the preparation and operational capabilities of global special forces. The invitation is extended: participate and join the challenge to strengthen your ability to face the most difficult challenges of the modern world.
